A friend of mine brought up a great question
the other day, one that I think we all wonder
about.
"What about our families and loved ones who
do not believe in or revere the Creator?"
"What happens to them?" This is a deep topic. I have often wondered
this myself and cried many nights for my
friends and loved ones who do not know the
Creator.
I'm sure many of you like myself have
looked upon the activities those around us still participate in and the direction our
modern world is going in and thought.. "The
Creator hates this, and we know the
consequences of that behaviour in the Turah,
what is the Creator going to do to them?"
"Will He still help them?" There are many views on this topic, I would
like to share some of my own
understandings of the Creator and His Turah
on this matter and some wonderful signs He
has shown me to assure me of how great His
love and compassion truly is for those who seek Him and His ways of living.
I pray you consider these words. HalaluYaH
When I prayed about this question to the Most
High YaH, many scriptures from the Turah
and floods of examples as to where He has
favoured people who did not know Him for the positive actions they have taken,
especially to those who have helped His
people. I was awakened to the realization of
what it means to be Yshr'Al and the burden
that has to be ...
Yshr'Al/Israel was YaH's 'firstborn', the 'dedicated ones' as YaH said the firstborn is
dedicated to Him...
B'midbar/ Numbers 8:17 "Every firstborn male in Yshr'Al/ Israel, whether human or animal, is mine. When I
struck down all the firstborn in Mtsrayim, I
set them apart for myself."
Shmuth/Exodus 13:2
"Consecrate to me every firstborn male. The
first offspring of every womb among the Israelites belongs to me, whether human or
animal."
Shmuth/Exodus 22:9
"Do not hold back offerings from your
granaries or your vats. "You must give me
the firstborn of your sons. The human and unclean were ransomed for
money. Only the food animals were actual
offerings to YaH.
B'midbar/ Numbers 18 The firstborn of man you shall surely
redeem, and the firstborn of unclean animals
you shall redeem. 16 "As to their redemption
price, from a month old you shall redeem
them, by your valuation, five shekels in
silver, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, which is twenty gerahs. 17"But
the firstborn of an ox or the firstborn of a
sheep or the firstborn of a goat, you shall not
redeem; they are holy. You shall sprinkle
their blood on the altar and shall offer up
their fat in smoke as an offering by fire, for a soothing aroma to YHUH
Shmuth/Exodus 4:21-23
21 YHUH said to Mshih, "When you go back to
Mtsrayim see that you perform before
Pharaoh all the wonders which I have put in
your power; but I will harden his heart so that he will not let the people go. 22 "Then
you shall say to Pharaoh, 'Thus saysYHUH,
"Yshr'Al is My son, My firstborn. 23 "So I said
to you, 'Let My son go that he may serve Me';
but you have refused to let him go. Behold, I
will kill your son, your firstborn. We have a special burden to bear for this
world as a firstborn son. We are dedicated/ offered up from amongst the nations to serve YaH out of all the nations of the
world... this is truly what YaH has done.
These scriptures show clearly, that amongst
this vast world of nations Yshr'Al was given
a special duty to YaH. We have a special duty
that many of our loved ones are not bound under, they do not have the 'responsibility ' to YaH as the firstborn does, we are like the
'Levite/ Priest' of this world, we walk with the Most Set-Apart, we are to 'serve Him 'IN'
this world as a firstborn serves his father
and receives the inheritance.
We are to do YaH's bidding for others. We are
to make it a better place, do right, help
others, implement justice/ judgements, teach the higher laws, and live them out for
others to 'witness' the power of YaH with
their own eyes, not just our words.
As these next scriptures will show, the
nations of this world were supposed to be
'favoured' through knowing us, and 'cursed' for 'cursing us or causing us undue harm'. We
are given a heavy burden, one that keeps us
awake at night, one that worries us, makes
us wonder about the state of the world. One
where this voice is constantly in your head
wondering if you are doing enough for YaH. Wondering how we can help. This is the
responsibility of the firstborn son in any
family, and it is ours in the family of nations
created by YaH.
YaH made a provision and a special calling for
the bloodline of Yshr'Al and those who heard the oath on that day. We were told our duty
is to serve YaH as a firstborn is offered to
Him.
Now that being said, here are some
wonderful scriptures that confirm YaH is the
most compassionate and loving Creator we could imagine. He Himself said those who
favour us will be favoured, those who curse/
hurt us, will be cursed/hurt.
B'rasheet 12:2
2 And I will make you a great nation, And I
will favour you, And make your name great; And so you shall be favoured; 3 And I will
favour those who who favour you, And the
one who curses you I will curse. And in you
all the families of the earth will be favoured."
4 So Abram went forth as YHUH had spoken
to him; and Lot went with him. D'barim/Deut 28:1
If you fully obey YHUH Alhim and carefully
follow all his commands I give you today,
YHUH Alhim will set you high above all the
nations on earth.
B'rasheet/ Genesis 26:4 I will make your descendants as numerous
as the stars in the sky and will give them all
these lands, and through your offspring all
nations on earth will be favoured,
Our families, friends, loved ones, and those
we see in community while here are people who will be FAVOURED by knowing us and
for having had positive impacts on YaHs
people even if they do not serve YaH.
.
The story of Mtsryim/Egypt and Pharaoh
being favoured for favouring the Aibreem/ Hebrews, and the story of Yusap/ Joseph... in fact because of this wonderful
deed YaH rescued many of them in the
exodus and also allows them to join the
congregation of YaH, and we were told to
treat them with special favour for this.
You see Pharaoh was favoured for knowing Yusap and being kind to him. Yusap 'showed'
him the power of YaH.
It was not until a 'harsh pharaoh' who did not
know Yusap that the relationship became one
where YaH had to curse them for cursing us.
I can recount hundreds of my own personal accounts where family members of mine
have been rescued from even death, where I
know the Creator alleviated my personal
worries over the situation.
YaH also did this for Abrahams nephew Lut,
by rescuing Him from Sedom B'rasheet 1916
16 But he hesitated. So the men seized his
hand and the hand of his wife and the hands
of his two daughters, for the compassion of
YHUH was upon him; and they brought him
out, and put him outside the city. Our families and friends who have brought
favour to us also will be favoured through
us. These thoughts and scriptures after
praying to YaH on this matter gave me
comfort in knowing that YaH is merciful, and
knows our hearts, and if w e do right by Him, He will be compassionate to those we love!
